We plan on getting to the Airport around 5:00 pm, which will allow us plenty of time to clear customs, check luggage, and get a bite to eat before our flights. Day Trip & Tour Leaving the port of Santos and driving along Anchieta Highway, you will see the municipality of Cubatao. The road crosses the Serra do Mar (rain forest) offering scenic views. After reaching the plateau 2,500 feet above sea-level, you will pass the industrial area where some of the major Brazilian industries are located.  Upon arrival in Sao Paulo, visit some important sights in downtown such as Municipal Market, Liberdade “Japanese District” and the Cathedral. Drive to Restaurant for a typical barbecue lunch (no beverages).  Lunch is on your own. After lunch, proceed to Paulista Avenue, Jardins District and finally the Ibirapuera Park with beautiful gardens and lakes.  At the entrance to this park, visitors can admire the famous monument of the "Bandeirantes" by Victor Brecheret. To the left of this monument is situated the modern Chamber of Deputies Building. Inside the Park is the monument of the Constitutionalist Soldier, a mausoleum in memory of those Republicans who fell in 1932 Revolution.  The tour ends at the Guarulhos International Airport at approximately 5pm. Air On Your Own

Other Airlines Sometimes our clients like to search and compare airfares. With most international flights you can compare pricing rather easily on your own if you know where to look. In the case of flying to Sao Paulo (GRU) we can share a couple of things:  Start with a good search engine that compares many airlines at once, and then allows you to book directly with the airline.  A couple of current favorites we like are Kayak.com and Mobissimo.com. These will compare many airlines (and other search engines. You can also adjust the search window on these engines as to the time of day you would like to depart or arrive. When using search engines - We have found it best to search here, but then try to book directly with the airline for better service. This is especially true in the case of flight changes, delays, and cancellations – so you don’t get kicked around in these situations. When push comes to shove, the Airlines treat their direct-booked clients better. Airport Transfers / Shuttle Service

Costa Shuttle Service Costa is not yet selling transfers This is infomation only - sales for Costa transfers have not yet opened as of 8/4/2010 Purchase of transfers can be done through DanceFun and you will need to provide your flight information at the time of purchase.  Flight details are provided to the transportation company to assist in expediting your transfer to the pier.  It is your responsibility to update DanceFun with any changes to your flight schedule to ensure you are met by the transportation company. Shared Ride Van / Taxi Taxis at Guarulhos International Airport Taxi stands are located outside the two terminals just outside the Baggage Claim area. It is recommended that travelers take taxis of any of the airport taxi companies. The fare can be pre-paid at their counters. If preferring a normal taxi, make sure that the meter has been cleared from the previous fare before entering the taxi and that the price of the fare for the destination is agreed. A taxi to downtown São Paulo takes around 30 minutes depending on the traffic. Generally, the ride costs around $50.00. Guarulhos International Airport (Sao Paulo) São Paulo/Guarulhos – Governor André Franco Montoro International Airport (IATA: GRU, ICAO: SBGR), nicknamed as Cumbica International Airport (after the former military airport in the same place), is a major Brazilian airport, the country's busiest by passenger traffic, located in the district of Cumbica, in the city of Guarulhos in metropolitan São Paulo. The airport is located 25 km (15 mi) from Downtown São Paulo. It began operations in 1985, supplanting São Paulo-Congonhas Airport as the city's primary airport. A hub in South America, Guarulhos is Brazil's busiest airport by both passenger traffic and aircraft movements, handling 21,607,303 passengers (around one-sixth of all passengers passing through Brazilian airports) and 209,638 aircraft movements in 2009.
